On December 22, at 9:40 PM, Krieng Kaltinan, a Pheu Thai Party list MP, and Karn Kaltinan, the re-elected Ubon Ratchathani Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) chairman, held a press conference to discuss the election results.
With 60% of votes counted, Karn led the race with 284,427 votes, followed by Chittrawan Wangsuphakitkoson (238,407 votes) and Sitthipol Laohavanich (92,638 votes). Krieng thanked the people of Ubon Ratchathani and the campaign team for their trust, while Karn credited his previous achievements and the strong influence of Pheu Thai, particularly the support of Thaksin Shinawatra, for his victory.
Karn emphasized transportation and community water management as immediate priorities in his upcoming term. Despite the unofficial results, they stressed that the final announcement depends on the Election Commission’s approval.
