On December 15, reporters revealed that Mr. Natthapong Ruangpanyawut, leader of the People's Party and opposition leader in the House of Representatives, has invited leaders of opposition parties to a dinner meeting on Wednesday, December 18, at the Erg-Erok Restaurant near the parliament building.

The dinner aims to discuss strategic plans for the upcoming parliamentary session, including the potential submission of a no-confidence motion against the government during the first quarter of next year. This marks the first official gathering of opposition leaders since Mr. Natthapong assumed his role as opposition leader.

The meeting comes after the Palang Pracharath Party expelled 20 MPs associated with Capt. Thammanat Prompao, strengthening the opposition’s position. Observers are closely watching whether Gen. Prawit Wongsuwan, leader of Palang Pracharath, and representatives of the Thai Sang Thai Party, led by Khunying Sudarat Keyuraphan, will participate. Despite Thai Sang Thai's current opposition status, the party has shown inclinations toward aligning with the government, creating uncertainty about its future direction.
