On December 14, Akkharadej Wongpitakroj, MP for Ratchaburi and spokesperson for the Ruam Thai Sang Chart Party (RTSC), addressed comments by former Prime Minister Thaksin Shinawatra. During a Pheu Thai Party seminar on December 13, Thaksin criticized certain coalition ministers for allegedly avoiding a Cabinet meeting that deliberated a Royal Decree on international tax measures. Akkharadej clarified that the criticism did not apply to RTSC ministers, as both Energy Minister Pirapan Salirathavibhaga, the party leader, and Deputy Commerce Minister Suchart Chomklin had submitted formal leave notices in advance due to prior commitments.

He explained that Suchart was attending a royal cremation ceremony for a former MP in Chonburi, while Pirapan had an important duty to fulfill elsewhere. Akkharadej affirmed the party's commitment to serving the public and the nation diligently, emphasizing that RTSC ministers adhere to the principles of professionalism and collaboration as coalition members, regardless of the administration in power.

He also addressed the scheduling confusion surrounding the Cabinet meeting on December 11, which had been rescheduled and coincided with preparations for the parliamentary session on December 12. Akkharadej noted that the government whip had informed coalition members of the agenda but acknowledged possible miscommunication during the transition.
