The 2025 Khon Kaen Marathon will take place on Saturday, January 11, and Sunday, January 12, 2025, marking the 20th anniversary of this iconic Northeastern Thailand event under the theme “Food and Fun Run Delight.”
Saturday, January 11 (National Children’s Day):
- Races: KIDS RUN (2.8 km), FUN RUN (5.4 km), and ELITE FUN RUN (5.4 km with chip timing and cash prizes).
- Special Highlights:
- Commemorative medals and Food Festival coupons for the first 8,000 participants.
- Free museum access for children in the KIDS RUN.
- "LEARN TOPIA," a creative learning city by Khon Kaen University’s Faculty of Education, offering engaging activities for children and youth.
Sunday, January 12:
- Main Event: International-standard marathon with an AIMS-certified route, water stations, and pacer teams for all speeds.
- New Features:
- Age categories extended to runners aged 70 and above.
- Over 200 stalls showcasing premium local cuisine at the Food Festival, emphasizing sustainability and local economic growth under the BCG Economy model.
