On November 29, long lines of vehicles crowded Rattana Service Station in Betong Municipality, Yala province, as residents rushed to fill their tanks amid warnings of continued heavy rain until December 4. Traffic police from Betong Police Station were deployed to manage the overflow, as vehicles waiting for fuel extended onto the main roads.
To prioritize vehicle refueling, the station prohibited filling fuel in portable containers, fearing potential hoarding and a shortage for motorists. Some residents described the unprecedented queues as "historic," with many opting to fill their tanks completely. Concerns were raised that if Route 410 (Yala-Betong) becomes impassable due to flooding, fuel tankers may be unable to resupply the district.
