On November 29, flooding in Satun province entered its third day, impacting three districts—Khuan Don, Mueang Satun, and Tha Phae. Affected areas include 23 villages across five subdistricts, with 1,234 households affected. Key roads, such as the Chalung-Langu route, are partially submerged, limiting traffic to a single lane. Authorities have urged drivers to proceed cautiously.

Satun Governor Sakra Kapilakarn, along with local Red Cross President Dr. Sukirati Kapilakarn and related agencies, visited affected areas in Khuan Don District to distribute relief supplies and drinking water. Twenty-two flat-bottomed boats have been deployed to facilitate transportation in flooded zones.

Current conditions include intermittent heavy rain and high water levels in key waterways. While water levels in Duson Canal have decreased but remain under watch, Tha Phae Canal is at a warning level, with continued flooding in Tha Phae subdistrict. Authorities remain vigilant in monitoring low-lying areas, as additional rainfall could prolong the crisis. However, if rainfall subsides, the situation is expected to normalize within two days.

Satun Rural Roads Department Director Woropas Saengpayap has dispatched teams to inspect bridges and secondary roads for safety. In case of rising water, warnings will be issued, and routes near waterways will be closed to prevent accidents.
