As of November 28, flooding has spread across all 16 districts of Songkhla Province due to continuous rainfall since November 26. Prolonged heavy rain over the past three days, coupled with strong winds in some areas, has caused significant flooding and property damage. Songkhla Governor Chotinrin Kerdsom has officially declared all districts disaster zones for emergency flood and storm relief to expedite assistance and alleviate public hardship.

The situation remains critical in districts such as Chana, Thepha, Na Thawi, and Saba Yoi, where water levels continue to rise, and inter-district roads have been severed. Authorities are using boats to evacuate residents from flooded homes. In Hat Yai and surrounding areas, key routes like Kanchanawanich Road—stretching through Patong, Ban Phru, and Khlong Hawa in Kho Hong Subdistrict—are inundated, rendering them impassable for small vehicles.

Hat Yai Municipality has raised red flags in 13 canal-side communities and yellow flags in 90 others due to rising water levels in the U-Tapao Canal, Phuminard Damri Canal, and other local waterways. Efforts to drain excess water are underway, but additional rainfall and water flowing from Sadao District and the overflowing spillway at Khlong Sadao Reservoir are exacerbating the situation. Floodwaters have already breached canal-side communities, adding to the challenges.
