On November 26, authorities reported ongoing flooding in Songkhla province due to heavy rainfall since November 20. The situation has affected four sub-districts in Ranot district, covering 14 villages and 193 households, impacting a total of 636 residents. Specifically, 30 households in Takhria sub-district, 65 in Ban Khao, 60 in Wat Son, and 38 in Bo Tru are affected. Fortunately, no injuries or fatalities have been reported.
The flooding is worsened by periodic rain and rising seawater levels, particularly in low-lying and coastal areas. Songkhla Governor Chotinrin Kerdsom has instructed local disaster prevention and mitigation teams to monitor the situation closely, warn at-risk communities, and maintain readiness for 24-hour assistance. Equipment, machinery, and personnel have been mobilized, with further support available upon request. Updates are to be continuously relayed to the provincial disaster operations center.
