The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) will host the "Made in Thailand" New Year Gift Fair from November 22 to December 1, 2024, at the DITP exhibition halls on Ratchadaphisek Road. The event aligns with government initiatives to support local industries and ease living costs during the festive season, as directed by Commerce Minister Phichai Naripthaphan.
The fair aims to highlight the capabilities of Thai manufacturers and exporters, encouraging both domestic and international buyers to choose Thai products. By offering discounts on high-quality export-grade items, the event promotes a positive perception of Thai goods while providing affordable gift options to the public.
The exhibition will feature six product categories:
- Home and Living - Home decor, tableware, gifts, toys, stationery, and printed materials.
- Health and Beauty - Cosmetics, soaps, aromatic oils, and candles.
- Fashion - Textiles, clothing, leather goods, jewelry, and accessories.
- Food and Beverage - Processed foods, snacks, and drinks.
- Electronics - Electrical appliances, cooling systems, and air conditioners.
- Car Accessories - Vehicle embellishments and tools.
Ms. Sunanta Kangwankulkij, Chief Inspector of the Ministry of Commerce, expressed confidence in the event's potential to showcase Thailand's world-class production standards while boosting the domestic economy. The initiative is also expected to enhance the global appeal of Thai products and reduce living costs during the New Year season.
