On November 8, Industry Minister Ekanat Promphan led a task force, including officials from the Department of Industrial Works (DIW), the Central Investigation Bureau, the Natural Resources and Environmental Crime Division (NED), and the Pollution Control Department, in a raid on properties belonging to AY LP Co., Ltd., in Chachoengsao’s Plaeng Yao district. The company, which rents out warehouses and factory spaces, was found operating nine unlicensed warehouses that were conducting illegal industrial activities and storing hazardous materials without permits.

Additionally, nearby facilities operated by Fuyi Electronics and Plastic Recycling Co., Ltd. were found to have expanded operations without permission and to have violated orders to cease unauthorized industrial activities.

Ms. Thitiphat Chotidechachainan, head of the minister’s working group, reported that machinery and potentially hazardous materials were seized, and legal action is being pursued against an Indian national managing the factory as well as the owner of AY LP Co., Ltd. Further legal action is expected to target all responsible parties involved.

Minister Ekanat stated that the Ministry of Industry is committed to reforming Thailand’s industrial sector under the “Fight, Save, Build” policy—aimed at combating illegal operators, safeguarding public health, and improving waste management systems to restore a healthier environment for communities.
